Leonardo D'Urso

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leonardo D’Urso. He was born on February 2, 1932 in Toritto, Bari, Italy and passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 28, 2024 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 92 years.

He has been reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife Caterina (who passed away in July 2022) and he is now at peace in the arms of our Lord.

Loving father of Nicola D’Urso (Maria) and Sandra (Antonio Ventrella). Cherished Nonno of Domenica (Salvatore), Caterina (Marc), Leonardo (Rebecca), Patrick, Natalie (Jesse) and Bisnonno of Madeleine, Anthony and Adrian.

Always the backbone of our family, our Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, leaves us with many memories and blessings from his life. His guidance, kind and giving nature, and unconditional love for our family will live on forever.

Leonardo will be lovingly remembered by his surviving brother Nicola and his sister Caterina and by his dearly departed brothers and sisters, Mauro, Francesca, Teresa, Giuseppe, and Angelo. Leonardo will be missed and forever held dear in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews and their families. He will be fondly remembered by all his extended family and friends.

Family and friends may visit at the Delmoro Funeral Home, 61 Beverly Hills Dr., (near Wilson and Jane) on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 2-4pm & 6-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 10am at St. Philip Neri Church.
