Lorna Elcina Chai (née Affoo) passed peacefully with family by her side, on January 9, 2023. She is survived by her children John (Fatima), Derek, Dexter (Elaine), her grandchildren Noel (Judi), Michael (Lillian), Leon (Gigi) and Andrew, great-grandchildren Jonathan, Courtney, Grace, Zoë, Alexis and Callen, and many nieces and nephews.
Lorna is predeceased by her husband Peter, her mother Electra and father David.
Lorna known affectionately as Auntie Nein will be remembered as a loving person who was devoted to family and loved every moment she spent with friends and family; cooking, baking, cake decorating and doll making.
Lorna was born in Trinidad. She grew up there with her parents and 7 siblings – Phyllis, Clarence, Bernice, Angela, Yvonne, Wilhma and Stephen.
Public visitation will be held Sunday, January 15, 2023, 4-8 p.m.
Funeral services will take place Monday, January 16, 2023 at 10 a.m. Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider a donation to The Michael Garron Hospital.
