Lucretia Victoria Alexander was born on October 18, 1933 in Castries, Saint Lucia, W.I. She emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1970 and began working at Sick Children’s Hospital, where she enjoyed a successful career as a dietitian.
She is predeceased by her son Tyrone (2023) and daughter Marilene (2008). She is survived by her daughter Veronica (Alex), grandchildren Dana (Hiromi), Adrian, Nathanael (Jaynee), Vanessa, Benjamin and Felicia; her great-grandchildren Nathan, Mina, Hanna, James and Maya; and her her nieces and nephews.
Lucretia was incredibly creative and resourceful. An avid knitter and baker, her creations and confections were highly sought after and enjoyed by all.
She is remembered by her family, church family and community as a kind, warm and caring friend. She was affectionate and encouraging, always ready to share the love of Christ with those she encountered. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation for Lucretia will take place at the Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home (2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON) on February 26, 2024 from 10:00am - 12:00pm with a Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home's chapel at 12pm. Lucretia's burial will take place following the service at St Jude Wexford Cemetery located at 10 Howarth Ave, Scarborough, ON.
