Luis Filipe Melo Silva

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Luis Filipe Melo Silva on May 14, 2025. Born in Ponta Delgada, Azores, Luis was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness, laughter and warmth.

Luis leaves behind his loving parents, Idelta and Manuel, his devoted brother Nuno, and his cherished sister Caroline. He was a proud godfather to Gabriel and a doting uncle to his nieces, Isabella, Aurea and Eliana, and his nephew, Damian. Luis's memory will forever be treasured by his family and friends.

Luis's life was filled with moments of joy and love. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering love for his family. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Visitation for Luis will be held Thursday June 12, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 1141 St. Clair Ave West, Toronto, ON M6E1B. A funeral services will occur Friday June 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 140 Argyle St, Toronto, ON M6J 3C8. Following the services, Luis will be travelling back home to Ponta Delgada, Azores, reunited with his loved ones.
