Margaret S C Coppin MacDonald

Margaret MacDonald at the age 88, passed away in hospital on November 6, 2024 surrounded by her family. She will be greatly missed by her family (children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as her many nieces and nephews, the Girl Guides of Canada, St. Joseph's Church, and the lovely community on her street.

She was predeceased her husband, Alexander MacDonald, and her brother and sisters: Tom, Georgina, Anne and Eleanor.

Survived by children, Michael (Janet) Coppin, Sandy (Bel) MacLellan, Wayne (Nadine) MacDonald, Brenda Mattinson (Greg), and Chuck (Cindy) MacLellan.

Grandchildren:

Rebecca Tomlinson, Derrek MacDonald, Ian Coppin, Ryan MacDonald, Kathleen Coppin, Zen MacLellan, Isabel MacLellan, Jordan Mattinson, Jacob Mattinson.

Great grandchildren:

Zander Mattinson, Lexel Mattinson, Loyol Mattinson, Lachlan MacDonald, Reign MacDonald, Caden Tomlinson, Julia Coppin, Rhett MacDonald, Callum Tomlinson,Karter, Oaklynn and Baby Coppin #2 in March. And many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and in Scotland.

Margaret was a valued employee of Drake International. She was the leader of the 59th Girl Guide Company since 1966.

Margaret was passionate about her family, especially the babies. She enjoyed knitting Christmas stockings for family and neighbours.

Margaret loved to travel. She has been to Australia, New Zealand, Egypt, Italy, France Switzerland, Holland, but her favourite destination was going home to Scotland.

Margaret is now at peace, and with her beloved husband, Alex.

A visitation for Margaret will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4C1L3. A visitation will occur Friday, November 15, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4C1L3. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 10:30 AM at St Joseph's Parish Located at 162 Leslie St, Toronto, ON M4M 3C7.
