Just shy of her 101st birthday, Margaret's body was too tired to live another day and she passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022. She is survived by her children Douglas, Nancy (Tonni) and Kenneth (Dawn); her granddaughter Lindsay; and great granddaughters Sunni, Taylor and Jordan. She is predeceased by Stanley, her loving husband of 64 years, her sister June, her brother Jack, and granddaughter Melinda. She met Stanley, her husband-to-be, at a resort hotel in the Muskokas. After their marriage, the couple moved to Windsor, Ontario where she created a loving home for Stan and their three children. After Stan's retirement, they lived in Leamington and Kingsville near Windsor for a few years until finally settling in Bobcaygeon, Ontario to be near the children. While there, they travelled extensively and enjoyed the social life of their community. Following Stan's death in 2007, Marg remained in Bobcaygeon until moving to her retirement home in Toronto in 2019. She was a lively, sociable person who was well-liked and respected by all who knew her - by her neighbours, friends and her caregivers. She was legendary for her sense of humour, a trait she kept until her last day. In her younger days, she loved to dance and was a life-long fan of the big band music of that era. She was a voracious reader and had a reputation as a good bowler and curler. She baked great pies and made some of the best shortbread cookies on the planet. We will miss her. Rest in peace Margaret. Many thanks to the caregivers at Retirement Suites By The Lake and Transcare for their kind and diligent support. Memorial Visitation from 3PM-3:30PM with a memorial service at 3:30PM.
