She was born on February 10, 1935, in Sambiase, Catanzaro, Italy, to Santo and Luigina Raso. Maria worked as a mold fitter at Cooper Canada for more than 15 years, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication.
Maria was known for her deep love of cooking and baking, joyfully feeding her family and sharing meals that brought everyone together. She found peace in her garden, cherished time spent with family and friends, and faithfully attended Sunday morning Mass. In the recent year, she delighted in discovering YouTube and developed a special fondness for Buon A Petiti. Maria was also deeply involved in the Italian women’s group, Donne Insieme, where her presence was warmly felt. A woman defined by her devotion to family, generosity, selflessness, strength, and determination, Maria left a lasting and beautiful impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Maria is survived by her loving children Andy, Angie (Carlos), and Lucy. She was a cherished and proud Nonna to her grandchildren Giancarlo (Michelle), Isabelle, and Michael (Hursh). She is also survived by her brothers Antonio, Giovanni (Teresa), and Saverio (Rosetta); her sisters-in-law Concetta and Rosa; her brother-in-law Pasquale; extended family Tony and Rosa; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Maria is now reunited in heaven with her beloved late husband, Michele Nicola Isabella. She was predeceased by her siblings Francesco (Concetta) and Rosaria, as well as her brothers-in-law Andrea, Eugenio, and Domenico (Fiorina), her sister-in-law Gina and Rosina(Pasquale)
