Born in Aqua de Pau, Sao Miguel, Acores, and passed away surrounded by her family in Mississauga, Ontario, at the age of 78 years.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Manuel Paiva and survived by loving sons Mike (Helen) and Nelson (Sasha), and cherished grandmother --Vavõ-- to Madeline, Cassandra, Katherine, Benjamin, and Emily.
Her greatest love was her family, and she will forever be remembered, loved and missed by all of her family and friends alike.
The memorial service will take place at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome.
The funeral service in her honor will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at St. Mary of the Angels Church, 1481 Dufferin St. at 11:30 a.m., with the burial to follow at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. W. [PLEASE NOTE: On the morning of the service, we ask that all attendees go directly to the church to allow the family private time with the deceased prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers or if desired, the family asks that donations in Memory of Maria Paiva be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
