Marjorie Joyce Peterson

Passed away peacefully on October 24th, 2015 in Toronto, Ontario predeceased by son Ronald. Survived by loving children Brenda (Rob), David (Luba), Debbie (Dennis), Steven (Donna). Wonderful grandma Tonia (Triston), Shaun (Rachel), Jeffrey (Ashley), Mathew (Jenn), James (Katrina). Joyce will be deeply missed by many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. Joyce was a dedicate volunteer for the Sprucecourt Public School lunch program, for over 25 years.

Visitation will be held at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2570 Danforth Ave. (at Main Subway Stn.) 416-698-3121, on Tuesday, October 27th, 2015 from 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM. Service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th, 2015 in the Giffen-Mack Chapel at 1:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sprucecourt Public School lunch program.

She is gone

You can shed tears that she is gone

Or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her

Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember her and only that she is gone

Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
