Mary Duffy

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Duffy on June 21, 2022. Mary is survived by her sister Teresa Morris ne Duffy, and brothers Patrick and Michael. (Mary's third brother John died in 2007.) Mary was born on November 26, 1956 to Josephine and Michael Duffy in Manchester, England. Following her brothers Patrick and Michael, Mary emigrated to Canada in 1972, where she had a 30-plus year career in the Mastercard department of the Bank of Montreal. Retiring in 2009, Mary spent her time reading, connecting with family and friends, and relished an almost daily chat with her sister Teresa. Mary will be sadly missed by all of us.

Please note the following: there will be a mass for Mary at St. Michael's Cathedral at 12:10 on July 4. All are welcome. In addition, there will be a memorial celebration of Mary's life early next year here in Toronto. If you would be interested in attending, please contact her brother Michael via email at [email protected] and he will provide more information as the details are firmed up. And lastly, the location of Mary's final resting place, whether Toronto or Manchester is still being determined. Once finalized it will be communicated to friends and family and also via the memorial celebration.
