If you knew Mary you’d find her spending time with her children and running errands or with her grandchildren at the park. You’d often find her with a coffee in hand and finding some way to assist her community. Mary was the definition of a woman who was selfless, honest and giving. She quietly helped each and every single person who she crossed paths with. Mary was the type of woman who would give and give and give and never ask for anything in return. Mary took pride in not only being the very best mother but a astounding grandmother to her grandchildren as they were her pride and joy. She often spent her days with her grandsons doing various activities and spending the majority of her last year's making memories with them. Mary worked in many charities over the years but one she truly loved doing was working with the Salvation Army at Christmas time helping families in need. Mary was the type of person that if she had it and you needed it, she would provide it to you even if it meant she went without. Mary often became the spare mom to anyone she was around. Mary truly treated everyone as if they were her own children and welcomed them in to her home with open arms. Despite battling and then beating two types of cancer and other health complications, Mary maintained a contagiously upbeat attitude. You would never have known the physical toll she faced because she walked with strength and wanted everyone to feel the peace that radiated out of her.
She was an amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother In-law and friend. If you were blessed to have met Mary in her lifetime, you are forever the better for it!
