Mau Thérèse Thi Tran

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Thérèse Tran Thi Mau. She was born on January 4th, 1926 in the province of Gia Dinh, Vietnam, and passed away on May 26th, 2016 at 90 years of age at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Seniors Residence in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Thérèse was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John Do Trong Chu in 2011. She is survived by her beloved children: Christine Stephenson, Michelle Kim Chung, Tom Đo Trong Chau, Ted Do Tung Chau, Robert Do Tien Chau and Katie Do Thien Chau Prentice.

Thérèse Tran Thi Mau will be fondly remembered by her sons-in-law: Ray Stephenson and Doug Prentice, her daughters-in-law: Nguyen Hoang Thanh Diep and Nguyen My Linh, and her grandchildren: Steven Le Trung (wife Allison Kim), Nguyen Chi Thanh (wife Natalie Zikler), Nguyen Chi Thien (wife Candy Hansen), Phillip Phuoc Nguyen Do, David Duc Hoang Nguyen Do, Caroline Chau Thanh Nguyen Do, Aeleena Kim Ryken (husband Joey Ryken), Grace An Do Chau, Kevin Prentice and Colin Prentice. She will also be remembered by her great-grandchildren: Austin Eric Le Trung, Joelle Nguyen, Nella Nguyen and Felix Ryken.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 3rd, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Delmoro Funeral Home, 61 Beverly Hills Drive, North York, Ontario. Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4th at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 161 Annette Street, Toronto, Ontario and her Interment to follow at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, Ontario.
