Born in Payne’s Bay, St. James, Barbados, on December 25th 1943, to the late Ivan “Roy” Phillips and the late Winifred Gaskin. She married her beloved husband, Cardinal Reid, in April of 1967, and together they shared many years of love, laughter, and memories.
Maureen was a woman who lived life to the fullest. She was a vibrant and loving woman who brought warmth, humor, and joy into the lives of everyone she touched. She had a true passion for cooking, sewing, and baking, often sharing her skills and creations with family and friends.
Maureen was known for her colorful personality and sense of humor. She spoke her mind freely, and her honest, no-holds-barred approach to life made her a memorable and beloved presence in any room. Her fun-loving nature left an indelible mark on those lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.
Maureen was the beloved wife of Cardinal; the cherished mother of Angela (Sergio) and Joy; the proud grandmother of Roberto, Olivia and Matthew; and the cherished sister of Eudora “Nola” and Thelma, the late Frank and Hilda. Maureen is also lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews extended family both in Canada and in Barbados.
