He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his friends, relatives and his sister who were always showered with his generosity, care and love. He truly touched people's hearts wherever he went. Mike was a beloved member of the community at 120 Perth Ave. He and his family have been a part of the co-op community for over 30 years, his presence will be missed.
Mike was born on May 17, 1977 to Buntee Dookhantee and Michael Ruggerio in the upper westside of Toronto. Mike passed away just four days after his recent birthday. He is survived by his sister, Jody Dookhantee.
If there was one thing that stood out most about Mike, it’s that he was a Joyful person. His love for connecting with people in the workplace or his passion for collecting basketball sneakers was nothing short of amazing. Mike is known as a “sneaker-head” to many like him. He would search worldwide for his favourite Jordan brand sneakers until they were in his possession, or his legs would just give out. It was truly delightful hearing stories of the adventures he took to attain pairs of highly sought after Jordan sneakers.
Mike’s love for sneakers was only surpassed by the love he had for his sister, whom he took care of after his mother’s death and until he was no longer able to. Mike is now at peace, joining both his parents and Jesus Christ in heaven above. He will forever be in our hearts and our thoughts.
