

Norman Cohen of Toronto, Ontario passed away suddenly, at the age of 86, on April 4, 2024. Norman was the beloved husband and true love of Sarah. They shared 64 years of marriage, united in love towards each other. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Sarah, his two children Tanya [Kevin] McKnight and Greg [Rose] Cohen, and his granddaughter Lauren McKnight.
Norman was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He graduated from Queens University. He met the love of his life, Sarah, at the Linen Industry Research. They married shortly afterwards and returned to Canada to start their married life together. Norman retired from Rothmans, Benson and Hedges after working for over 30 years as the director of the laboratory.
Norman loved to travel, taking his family on many vacations.
He taught himself woodworking and set up a workshop to finish off the cottage in the Kawarthas, building docks, decks, stairs and everything in between.
Norman was an avid golfer, spending his best years with his wife on the golf courses here and in one of his favourite places, Myrtle Beach.
Norman was an avid reader, he could always be found with a book in his hand. This passion was passed onto his children and granddaughter.
Visitation for Norman will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON M1K 2B5 (just south of Eglinton Ave. E.). A funeral service will occur on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Norman will be laid to rest at Pine Hills Cemetery.
