Patricia Lawrence-Kean

Pat Kean, age 69, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2015 at her home on Lake Kasshabog near Havelock, ON. Adored wife of Allan Kean, she was the love of his life; loving mother of Kerry-Anne (Michel) Carrière and Dawn (Greg) Koren; caring step-mother to Fabian Kean (Anna Lin), Lesley Anne Kean (Sean Kelly) and Rachel (Kingsley) Malcolm; cherished grandmother of Joshua Smart, Aidan, Avery and Ethan Koren; Hannah, Janessa, Hadley and Claudia Malcolm and Caleb and Richard Kean. Pat was born in Toronto to the late Eric and Pearl (Dawe) Lawrence. She was a loving sister to Ruth (Don) Nelson, Carolann Hughes (John Clarke), Barbara (John) Poulin and her late brother Ron (Marlene) Lawrence and a dear sister-in-law to Allan’s siblings Jim Kean, Blanche Howse, Ron Kean, Kitty Kean and the late Llewelyn Kean. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Pat was a ‘sister’ to long-time treasured friends Maggs, Char and Barb and will be sadly missed by them. For more than 25 years, Pat worked at Bell Canada before retiring to her home on Lake Kasshabog. She had a knack for making everyone feel welcome when they would visit her at the lake. Pat was fun-loving, beautiful and had a flair for style and a penchant for shopping. As a young woman, she traveled to Scotland, England and Germany but her favourite place to visit was Newfoundland, the birthplace of her husband and her parents. “Ours is just a simple prayer, God bless and keep you in His care”. The family would like to thank the wonderful palliative care team who helped Pat through her final journey. Family and friends may call at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON (between Eglinton and Danforth). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service is on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
