Pauline Georgia Atkins

Pauline Georgia Atkins, age 65, of Toronto, Ontario passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Pauline was born September 30,1958 in Kingston Jamaica. She migrated to England in when she was eight years of age. She decided at a young age she wanted to become a nurse and a teacher. So, she sent out to do just that, and started studying nursing at the age of 18. She then made a major life change and chose to migrate to Canada and continue her journey to become a registered nurse. A few year later she received her degree from Ryerson University and became a Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook Hospital for twenty-five years. She also worked at Scarborough General Hospital for ten years. She then went on to further her education and received her Master’s degree in Nursing from Douville College in America. She taught nursing programs at Centenary College and also taught an ESL program at her church. She was devoted to her work in nursing and love to educate. She also loved to knit, swim and loved giving back to less fortunate individuals. She was a kind and generous soul devoted to God and her family.

A visitation for Pauline will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON M1K2B5. A funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel. A committal service will occur at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd, Toronto, ON M1K 1R1.
