Peggy Elisabeth Bida

Peggy Elisabeth Bida passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on March 6, 1949, in Toronto, Ontario, Peggy lived a life rooted in family, love, laughter, and unforgettable spirit.

Peggy was the beloved daughter of the late William and Elinor Loxley and the loving wife of the late Bartley Bida. Together, Peggy and Bartley shared a deep bond, often singing together filling their home with music, joy, the casual debate and warmth that reflected their enduring love.

She was a devoted and proud mother to her children, James and Elinor (Stephen). Peggy treasured time spent with her son and made countless trips to visit her daughter and son-in-law, always eager to be present, supportive, and involved in their lives. No matter the distance, Peggy believed family was worth every mile.

Peggy was a deeply cherished grandmother to Jessica (Kyle), Beau James, Marina (Josh), Tristano, and Daniel, and a proud great-grandmother to Logan, Máxine, Zadie and Knox. She spent countless hours as the very best nanny, creating memories filled with care, laughter, and unconditional love. Time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy, and her presence in their lives was constant and irreplaceable.

Known for her sharp wit, humour, and unmistakable personality, Peggy brought laughter into every room. She loved family dinners, where stories were shared, jokes were traded, and her warmth was felt by all. These gatherings were the heart of her world and a reflection of the strong family bonds she helped create and nurture.

Peggy is survived by her siblings Bill, John, and Bella, and was predeceased by her sisters Patricia and Mary, and her brother Jim.

Peggy’s love, laughter, music, and spirited personality will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
