Ray. I sure miss you alot. Think of you often

First off I just want to say that Cheryl and I enjoyed every moment we got to spend together, we are grateful for the experience and we will miss you . 
I’d like to share some of the memories that I have of Raymond .  
When I first met Raymond  ; I knew right away this is a man who does not suffer fools well  . Those that knew him know this to be true . I remember  the times we sat on the stoop and watched our favourite person across the street ... you know the one I’m talking about ... the turkey neck one .Raymond would always  make it a priority to point said person out I remember his quick wit  and his ability to lighten a situation with a  verbal jab or an occasional pronoun ( one we won’t mention here ) .i also remember how fond everyone  was of Raymond , the Neighbors, the passers by and of course the beloved animals , I’m not sure what he admired more  the dogs or his well manicured front lawn .. I’m leaning towards the grass on this one . 
I was hoping to have him visit here sometime and try out the east coast fishing experience. But that didn’t turn out to be in the books ... a good thing too cause I don’t think he would have caught any ... lol 
People that know Raymond know that he was quick with a jab or a playful statement about your current state of affairs ... so in honour of his memory maybe a jab back is in order ... Stay off the grass up there will ya they just mowed it

• The brief period when I was in Sr Kindergarten, when you were picking me up from school for my mom.  Your hair was still long and red back then.
• Going trucking with you across 4 states over 2 nights and 3 days when I was 8 yrs old.  I was obsessed with big rigs and atlas books after that.  We sat in a coffee shop in Fort Erie, ON and I had marmalade jam on toast.
• Visiting with you and Kathy - but mostly Tanya, Deanna, and Kristen - to sleep over and play in the basement rec room.
• I was about 16 when you picked up Jonathan and I at the Brockville train stn to go to Prescott.  We took the boat out on the St Lawrence, and went for a hike along the old rail line to the spot you told us you shot your toe with a rifle when you were younger.  Or did you shoot Tim?  Vice Versa? Can't remember.  Hard to keep up with all your injuries.
• Practicing Karate with you after you decided to try yet another new skill.  I was a brown belt.  Not sure you made it past Green ya wimp.
• Ok not so wimpy afterall.  You started bull-riding, and I airbrushed a photo of you on a bull (probably falling off) on the back of your jean jacket.  Is there anything you didn't do besides not eat green veggies?
• Banjo Minna - need I say more?  I'll never forget that day.
• You never missed a chance to show someone you were proud of me - every time I bumped into you and a tow-truck friend, you'd scramble for a piece of paper & anything that would make a mark on it & pass it to me, just so I would draw something super quick and you'd say "Now who do you know that could something like that?"
• Suddenly I was old enough to drink.  I'd pop into the Duke, and you'd be the doorman.  I was safer than anyone in the building.
• Dad's car door wouldn't open, key was stuck, had two girls with me, and I called you.  You could have been anywhere in the city, but you arrived in your tow-truck and got that door open.
• We laughed about all of it.  Right to the end.  I miss you Uncle Ray.

I remember Ray as the older brother to my friend, Mike and of course the other 2 little munchkins that were always around.  I knew Ray as a guy who went out and did what he wanted in life and one of those things was to become a Cowboy!  I admired that he chased his dreams and lived life to the fullest! 
My deepest sympathies to all the family.  May you find comfort in your fondest memories of Ray.
