Dear Mrs Crawford and Richard’s family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Rick. I found out just a couple of days ago while I was in Toronto, tried to call him and stopped by his apartment. A neighbour told me what had happened . My heartfelt condolences to you all.
I knew Rick for over 30 years through the Canadian Hearing Society. We stayed in touch even though I no longer worked there and had moved 4 hours out of Toronto. He had a dry sense of humour, positive outlook on life, a very quiet unassuming gentle guy who was a veracious reader , walked everywhere and  loved The Blue Jays and Leafs! He always looked forward to his Sunday visits with his mom. We will really miss him.
