

Richard was born on November 25, 1951, in Toronto, Ontario. He was the beloved son of Nathalie Crimp (nee Solomon) and Thomas Crimp.
Richard is survived by his loving children: Samantha Souliere (David Souliere), Tanya Crimp (Jason Evoy), Amanda Barbetta (Sean O'Donnell), and Richard Crimp Jr. (Jade Moriarity). He was a proud and devoted papa to his grandchildren Brandon, Ryan, David, Adrianna, Elisha, Alexandria, Tristan, Stephanie, Briella, and Laila, and a cherished great grandfather to Matteo and Leora.
He was predeceased by his beloved and most cherished wife, Toni Crimp (nee Barbetta); his sister Sharron Russell and brother in law Fraser Russell; his brother Garry Crimp; his sister Alice Crimp; and his cherished grandchild Jonathan, who passed away at birth.
Richard will be remembered as a devoted husband to his wife Toni and a loving, steadfast father to his children. His deep love for family and friends never wavered-you could always count on Richard. He was known for offering thoughtful advice, quiet wisdom, and a helping hand whenever it was needed.
He will also be remembered for his strong values, unwavering morals, and modest nature. A sage in his own way, Richard was truly one of a kind. He had a passion for cooking and loved teaching his wife and children new recipes. A true jack of all trades, Richard lived a life of service and dedication. He proudly served in the Canadian Navy and later with the Toronto Police Service. Throughout his life, he also worked as a real estate agent and represented clients in Small Claims Court.
A visitation and service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Giffen Mack Funeral Home, located at 2570 Danforth Avenue, Toronto.
Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
For family and friends unable to attend in person, a livestream will be available.
A reception will follow at 4:00 p.m. at The Duke, located at 1225 Queen Street East.
Richard was truly the life of the party-bringing joy and laughter to every room he entered. He loved playing pool and cherished the moments spent making memories with family and friends.
