Born on March 25, 1980 to Irene (predeceased) and Gary Sr., Stepson of Carlene. Dear brother of Gary Jr (Natalie), Aimee (Steve), Kim (Ian), Jesse, and Tim. Dear uncle to Harper, Coulton, Kayden, Ryan, and Ethan. Ricky died unexpectedly on November 03, 2021 in Toronto where he lived for most of his life. Ricky will be greatly missed by his family and many close friends he made when he moved to Toronto from Barrie, including his best friend Ashley. S., friends Ryan B, Ryan W, John, Keith, Bryn, and so many others.
Ricky loved music and was a danceaholic. He leaves a courageous and brilliant legacy of living one's life to the best of their abilities and beyond. Life didn't come easy to Ricky, but much like he lived while we could see him, his presence today can still be felt by those who knew him as someone who was humble as he shined bright, who was sensitive and adventurous, who was always kind, sweet and selfless. He loved the people around him, whoever they were. His passion for animals brought squirrels to visit right into his apartment, so welcoming he named them. So gentle, they returned. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Ricky. He loved a quiet evening with friends or on his own, he enjoyed exploring the city's trails and found beauty in the outdoors. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in many of his daily activities. His pleasant personality and gripping smile was contagious to everyone he met.
