Richetta Serra

SERRA RICHETTA (nee Memmo) – With profound sadness and heavy hearts we share the passing of our beloved Mother Richetta Serra. Loving and devoted wife of 57 years to the late Vincenzo (d. 2014). Adored, forever cherished and loving mother to Domenic and Lina Ginevra (nee Serra). Loving and doting Grandmother to Anthony Vincent David and Lucas Adam Ginevra. She entwined their lives into hers with great love and passion. They will forever miss Nonna. Much respected and loved mother-in-law to Vito Ginevra. Predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Maria Grazia. Predeceased by her loved siblings Donato, Serafina, Giovina, Pietro, Luigi and Giuseppe. Survived by siblings Nicola and Santina. Respected and loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be forever missed by all her family and friends in Toronto, Italy and New York. Mom came from humble beginnings, arriving in Canada in 1960 and graciously lived a full and remarkable life. Family always came first for Mom. She enjoyed cooking an Italian meal for everyone who came into her home. Her spare time was chased with her passion for gardening. She fought a hard battle with grace, endurance and strength. She simply did not want to say good-bye, nor did we. We take great comfort that she was surrounded by her most loved in her final hours. May her eternal journey be one of peace. Mom, you will be forever remembered with love, affection and great admiration.
