Robert Ronald Blair, 56. Of Toronto, passed away January 4th,2024. He passed away on his own terms and lived his life free as he had wanted for many years as an "Invisible man." Many that knew him knew he was far from invisible. He was someone who brought light and joy to those who had the opportunity of knowing him.
Throughout his life, Robert struggled silently with his mental health, fighting a courageous battle. Despite enduring these challenges for decades, he remained resilient and unyielding. His inner strength inspired those who knew him, and his refusal to let his struggles define him served as a testament to his indomitable spirit.
His father, Robert Sr, and his stepmother Laura, who were the closest to him for the past decade, would agree. He was a free and simple man and came and went as he wanted. He will be greatly missed by his sister Jude(Bobbi) and brother Jorge. The bond between Robert and Jude was so strong. They had gone through many struggles together and always came out strong together. Their bond is a beckon for just how close Robert's children fight to achieve.
He will be missed by his Aunt Stella and Aunt Georgina. He spent years of his childhood growing up with her and his cousin Bruce. Growing up at his grandparents' home over the summer.
Early in life, he met the love of his life, Donna(she passed just 3 years ago). They married and had 3 beautiful children, Shelly, Tiffany, and Robert lll. They raised their 3 children as best as they could and with so much love. His mental health declined, and the choice was made to separate him and his family. The love between him and Donna was always there, but his mental health and inability to be trapped in his body by medication was far stronger.
He spent years of his life becoming a huge part of his niece and nephews' lives. He helped his sister Jude in raising her 3 children. Chantal, Chris, Eric. Also, while stepping up and being a figure for their late sister, April's children Damon and Tyler. They are filled with happy memories with their uncle that will stay with them forever.
He did get the chance to rebuild a relationship with his children when they became young adults. He is survived also in his 7 grandchildren who didn't have the chance to know him but hear stories from their parents as they share photos filled with memories.
Robert is now reunited with his beloved mother Lynn, his cherished sister April, as well as his dear wife Donna, Aunts Vina, Betty, and Uncle Frank, plus many others who have gone before him. Though words can not express the depths of our sorrow, we try and find solace in knowing that he rests in peace now.
A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel, 467 Sherbourne Street, Toronto, ON M4X1K5, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
