In Toronto, Rob succumbed to Hodgkin’s Lymphoma just before his 43rd birthday. Husband to Claudine; Father to son Riley (6) and daughter Madeleine (3); Son to Bernice and Bob Camp; Brother to Cassandra Camp (Duncan Osborne); Grandson to Laurie Camp; Son-in-law to Kathleen and Steven Loftus; Brother-in-law to Chris Loftus (Benita Wassenaar) and Danielle MacDonald (Al MacDonald); Awesome uncle to Ben, Alex and Kate (Osborne); Rawley, Kynan and Eliane (Loftus); and Kendra and Rowan (MacDonald). He will be missed by all of the members of his extended family and many friends.
Rob was passionate about his family, friendships, sports (particularly hockey and ultimate), travel and board games. He was a natural leader who was widely loved by his family and many lifelong friends for his camaraderie, intelligence, quick wit, compassion and unflinching loyalty. Rob had a unique ability to find the fun in life for himself and those around him, regardless of the situation or the age of his cohort (as his many nieces and nephews will attest!). Rob also had a great curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Above all, Rob was characterized by a great enthusiasm and energy for life that touched all those around him and will be missed terribly.
Rob was a graduate of North Toronto Collegiate Institute, Queen’s University (B.A. (Econ) and B.Ed) and the Schulich School of Business at York University (M.B.A.). He worked at several companies during his career, most recently as a Sourcing Consultant at BMO Financial Group.
Many heartfelt thanks go to all of Rob’s family and friends for their continued support over the last two and a half years.
