Robert passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. He was surrounded by his significant other Audrey, her daughter Jacqueline, her family, his sisters Mary Ritacca (Sam) and Lena Savino (Tony), and his nieces and nephews.
Robert loved being an uncle to Virginia (Pierluigi), Patricia, Laura (Nathan), Giulia (Dylan), Mark (Pam), Daniela (FrankRoss), Nadia (Joe), Alessia (Jose) and eight great nieces and two great nephews.
To Robert, family meant everything, and he had a way with all the children. They called him “The Baby Whisperer”. Even when the babies fussed, Robert could calm them.
He was a beloved pet dad to Jaxson and Jazzpurr, and Grandpaw to Bentley, Sage, Charm and Willow.
He was the beloved nephew of Zia Elena and cousin to Anna El-Chaar (Alicia, Daniel).
He was a loving and caring man and was always quick to strike up a conversation. His natural charm and sense of humour would soon win people over. He cared deeply for family and friends alike. He was always available to share a laugh or lend a hand. He was both caring and giving. He was truly a remarkable man and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

A visitation for Robert will be held Monday, September 1, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM as well as from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 1141 St Clair Ave West, Toronto, ON M6E1B1. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Saint Anthony's Church, 1041 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6H 1M4.
