Robert James Hibbard

Robert (Bob) James Hibbard was born to Elizabeth (Smart) and Robert James Hibbard on 28 June, 1971 in Sarnia, Ontario. He was the oldest child to a close-knit and loving Christian family. Bob was predeceased by his sister Rebecca.

At the age of 26, Bob married Debra (Deb) Sandassie. Bob and Deb were blessed by the birth of their son Chase on his 30th birthday. The best birthday present he ever received.

Bob’s faith was always central to his life. He obeyed the called at the age of 10 and dedicated his entire life to service in the kingdom. He and his family began work with the Strathmore Boulevard Church of Christ in July 2016 and remained there for four years.

In July 2020, he made the decision to attend the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies to better equip himself for ministry. He returned to Strathmore in July 2022 to resume working with the congregation with a focus on evangelism.

Everyone who knew Bob knew how much he loved the Lord. His greatest hope was for us all to stand firm for the truth and continue working in the kingdom.

Bob not only preached the faith – he lived the faith.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at Strathmore Boulevard Church of Christ, 346 Strathmore Blvd, Toronto, on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, all are welcome to a reception held at the church.
