Robert Henry Thoms Sr.

Robert, better known as Bob Sr, was predeceased by his beautiful wife Gloria of 56 years and eldest son Bob Jr. He is survived by his loving and caring children Nancy, Susan (Dan), Bill (Suzanne), and Cheryl (Tim). Loved by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Also predeceased by his parents Eddie and May Thoms, brothers Donny and Melville, and sister Shirley.

Fond summer memories were made year after year while camping at Beausoleil Island in Honey Harbour and fall weekends spent at Woodland Park with family, friends, and bring smiles to his children's faces to this day.

Bob's love for handball was an understatement. He spent many days and nights training for many victory matches around Canada and the U.S. Bob's trophy room was often the highlight of his grandchildren's visits.

Family and friends may gather at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, ON (just south of Eglinton Ave. E.) on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Bob will be laid to rest at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1519 Elgin Mills Road, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M9.
