Ronald Martin Darling

August 7, 1947 – December 23, 2025

Ronald Martin Darling passed away on December 23, 2025, at 1:05 a.m., at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 78. He was born and raised in Toronto and remained a proud resident of the city throughout his life. Go Leafs Go!

Ron was a hardworking man who could fix just about anything. Known for his strong hands, sharp mind, and endless resourcefulness, there was no job too small or too difficult for him to tackle. Above all, he had a heart of gold — always willing to help, always showing up for the people he loved, and always putting others before himself. His strength was matched only by his kindness, humour, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dawn; his son, Ron; his daughter-in-law, Charlene; and his beloved granddaughters — or as he proudly called them, “his girls” — Britney and Sly. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother, Donny, as well as many extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives he touched deeply.

Ron will be remembered for his work ethic, his generosity, his ability to fix anything — and most of all, for the love he gave so freely to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, located at 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4C1L3, Canada, on December 31, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm.
