Over the many years, we knew Ronnie, we always knew that when we visited him, he was going to make us smile and laugh.  His laughter  was contagious and his happy joking personality lifted the spirits of everyone around him.  Even in his later years, when he was ill, we would joke with him and we were happy to see that familiar smile and twinkle in his eyes.  He loved company.  Whenever we would see him he would always greet us with "What's new with you?" and he was genuinely interested in hearing about our lives.   He told us how luck he was to have Doris as his wife.  He adored his family.  Doris and Ronnie's house was always warm and welcoming.  He taught us to appreciate life and to find something to smile about everyday. So sorry for your loss I was a driver at Redpath I haven’t seen Ron for 20 yrs always was happy and laughing .I remember almost 30 yrs ago My wife and I had twins girls and Ron bringing a gift for them from his family such a thoughtful and giving person once again sorry for your loss Chris  Sandi Keerstin Tarra and Craig

My best memory, will always be that mosie, came from Ron, the country squire, at redpath. I once spent a day in the kitchen, with Ron n Doris, and became family, that's special. He always told me never lock the door on your young ones. Never will Ron!


 I have had the honor and pleasure of knowing Ron  for approximately 28 years. I was introduced to him by my now sister-in-law Sharon  who has always had fond memories of her father and always talked about being daddy’s little girl  and  the youngest of four daughters.  Ron and Doris had always welcomed our family into their home  and into their lives. He will be missed dearly.
