Passed away peacefully in Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mariantonia of 51 years, his beloved children, Teresa, Michael (Maria), Johnny and Domenico (Monica) and his cherished grandchildren, Bianca Ventrici, Johnny, Salvatore, Antonia and Savannah and nephew, Mike (Val).
Salvatore was a hard working employee of the CN Railway for many years. He was an avid gardener who loved tending to his vegetable and flower gardens.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 10 am at St Clare Catholic Church, 1118 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto. Entombment will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sick Kids Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the Vavala family.
