

Shirley Sabina Regis was born on August 29th, 1938, in Prince’s Town, Trinidad. She was the youngest child of Pheresa and Thomas David. Predeceased by her elder brother, Oswald and survived by her elder
sister, Marjorie, Shirley passed away on April 8th, 2025, at the age of 86.
Married for 48 years, Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Elton Philip Regis and survived by her children Scott Graham and Keith Ellis Regis. She was a loving grandmother to Taelyn and Zavian.
After immigrating to Canada in the 1964, Shirley worked as the secretary in the vice-president’s office at CN Rail for over 20 years and was well-respected by her colleagues. She was an avid gardener and was highly revered by her family and friends for her bountiful gardens of flowers, vegetables and fruits. Shirley was very caring and often canvassed for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She was also selfless when it came to her loved ones. In the summer, Shirley was well-known for her barbecues. This became a tradition, and many friends and family looked forward to these events. She had a zeal for travelling and ventured to many countries across the globe, especially during after retiring. Shirley loved to laugh and was an enthusiastic fan of boxing.
Shirley loved people and was a very gentle soul. She had a zest for life and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
