Stephen Hoy passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 66 in Toronto. Born on June 10, 1958. Stephen found great joy in family gatherings, particularly during the holidays when he could spend time with his nieces and nephews. He was deeply connected to Progress Place, where he formed many lasting friendships.
Stephen is survived by Fred and Elizabeth, Don and Ruby, Sharon, Peter and Ellen, and was a beloved uncle to Lyndsay and Vincent, Jeremy and Cece, Karoline and Sam, Taka and Chad, Gavin, Bailey, and Eli, and a great uncle to Colin and Midori. He was predeceased by his mother, Kaneko (Connie), and brother-in-law, Wayne (Falconer).
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Stephen was a dedicated fan of the Detroit Red Wings and closely followed the University of Toronto's men's and women's hockey teams. He enjoyed attending Toronto Argonaut games, sharing these moments with friends and family.
A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Progress Place, an organization close to Stephen's heart.
