May 13, 2015
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free.
I’m simply following the path that was laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call,
I had to turn my back and leave you all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to ride or play.
Task left undone must stay that way.
I’ve found that place at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a big void
Then fill it up with remembered joy.
Many friendships shared a laugh a kiss,
My brothers and family I will truly miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you all the happiness of tomorrow.
My life has been full, I’ve savoured so much.
Good friends, good timer, and squeezing that clutch
Perhaps my time seems all too brief
But do not lengthen it now with unnecessary grief
Now lift up your glass and share with me
My suffering is over, its my time to be free
