It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, Vitantonio Pilieci, who was born on January 28, 1925 in Capistrano, V.V., Catanzaro, Italy and passed away on August 26, 2023 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 98 years.
He has been reunited in Heaven with his best friend and beloved wife Maria Rosa. Loving father of Bruno, Nina (and her late husband, Jim Caranci), Thomasina (Don Whitehead), Tony (Cathy), John (Elena). Cherished Nonno of Tony (Tina), Dean, Michael (Melina), Jordana, Bradley (Ashley), Stephanie (Christopher), Rachel (Chris), Gabriella (Jordan), Christopher, Adrianna, Jessica and loving Bisnonno of Juliana, Sofia, Valentina, Santino and Mia. He will be dearly missed by his sister-in-law, his many nieces, nephews and their families. He will be forever remembered, loved and missed by all of his family and friends.
Family and friends may visit at the Delmoro Funeral Home, 61 Beverly Hills Dr., (near Wilson and Jane) on Wednesday August 30, 2023 from 2-4 pm & 6-9 pm.
The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday August 31, 2023 at 11am at St. Philip Neri Church, 2100 Jane St.(at Beverly Hills Dr.)
Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery, 5830 Bathurst St., Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, the family have requested donations in Memory of Vitantonio Pilieci be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
