It is with deep sadness our family announces the sudden passing of Noel on Sunday, April 15, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife Imogene, sons Steve, Bill and his partner Brian, special daughter Tessa and grandson Callum. Dear brother of Mollie, Margaret Rose, Irena, and Leslie. Noel will be dearly missed by his extended family and his many friends. Retired member of the Toronto Police Services. Funeral Services will be held at Glen Rhodes United Church, 1470 Gerrard Street East (one block west of Coxwell), on Saturday, April 21st at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Michael Gregg Memorial Scholarship at the University of Toronto or Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre would be appreciated

God saw Noel was getting tired

When a cure was not to be.

So He wrapped His arms around him

And whispered, “Come to Me”.

In tears we saw Noel sinking,

We watched him fade away.

Our hearts were truly broken,

He fought so hard to stay.

But when we saw Noel sleeping

Peacefully and free from pain,

We could not wish him back

To suffer that again.

So keep Your arms around Noel, Lord,

And give him special care,

Make up for all he suffered,

That seemed to us unfair.

So many times we’ve needed him,

So many times we’ve cried.

If love could have saved him,

Noel never would have died.
