Alice is survived by three sisters, Valerie Arnold, Margerie Torres, and Gwendolyn Henry. She had four children, Adelita Maheia, Lupita Zapata, Maria Miranda and Dennis Flowers; eleven grandchildren: Adelisa Miralda, Deneice Flowers, Catherine Maheia-Alexander, Philip Maheia, Christina Maheia, Michael Maheia, Alice Miralda, Kenny Miralda, Janelli Miralda, Dianne Miralda, Daniel Flowers. She had 11 great grandchildren with one on the way.
Alice Phillips came to the USA in 1969, she started off working as a housekeeper, later she turned that skill into a position as a supervisor for a cleaning staff at a hotel. While doing this job she went to school and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. After years in her profession, she retired in her 70's.
In the beginning Alice Phillips’ life was not easy. She came to the USA in pursuit and a desire to live a better life. A dream Alice would not let go. Her determination and fortitude were reflected by going to school and getting an education and a skill so that she could live a life she dreamed of as a child.
