Barbara Anne (Warner) Fulkerson was born January 11th, 1942, in Klamath Falls, OR, to Patricia (Pat) and George Warner. She was the 3rd child and first girl of what would eventually be 6 children. This free and fun-loving spirit met and married Jack Fulkerson Sept. 7th, 1963, at American Martyrs Church, where they became long-time parishioners. This was a mere 3 and a half years after graduating from St. Michaels Girls High School in 1960. They purchased their forever home in Hawthorne, CA, in 1966 and raised their 3 children here, Karen Davis, Charlene (Laurence) Clark, and Tim (Melissa) Fulkerson.
She was a nearly life-long member, 60+ years, of The Catholic Daughters of America and worked on many projects/causes with loving friends. She was her council’s Grand Regent from 1975 thru 1979. She belonged to many groups, including Bunco, TOPS, Altar Society, book clubs, Lady Knights of Columbus, and was very involved with Jack’s Council 4567, and most recently D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution).
Her 83 and a half years were filled with family, some work, traveling, RV'ing, adventures, parties, and worship. She was always welcoming and friendly and tried to make everyone feel included and like family.
She was surrounded at home by her children, the grandchildren she helped raise, her brother Bob, and loving neighbors as she quickly rushed to join her husband, Jack, in heaven on August 24th, 2025.
Barbara also joins her parents, Patricia and George, and brother Bill in heaven. She is survived by her 2 older brothers, Tom and Bob, and younger brother and sister Dennis and Dede, her 3 children, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a brand new great-great-granddaughter.
Memorial Mass will be held Friday, October 3rd, 10 am at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Manhattan Beach with reception to follow in the hall.
