
A 53 year resident of Torrance, CA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 30, 2007. He was born in Shawnee, OK on January 11, 1932. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant for 3 years. He moved to CA where he met his wife of 53 years, Dorothy McQuinn-Bowden. He leaves behind four children; Marilyn Picarello, Scott Bowden, Dena Westbay and Jody Bowden, 11 grandchildren; Jamie, Cory, Jimmy, Mandy, Shannon, James, Eric, Scotty, Brittany, Christopher and Ryley, 3 great-grandchildren; Hayley, Matthew and Isabella.
He was a welder and a Quality Control Inspector at Boeing and Northrop. He was always proud to help anyone out from cars to home repairs. He enjoyed fishing, camping, rebuilding car engines, and working on the family home. His passion was his Handyman business and most important to him, his family. He will be remembered as a friendly and loving man who dedicated his time helping others without expecting anything in return. He will be missed tremendously. In leiu of flowers please donate to the American Heart Association. Viewing is on Sunday, 9/9 at 1:00pm at Rice Mortuary on Torrance Blvd., and services will be held at the Riverside National Cemetary on Mon. 9/10 at 2:30pm.
