Curtis L Newell

Curtis was born on January 26, 1959 in Flint, MI to the late Mary Rodgers and Curley Lee Newell Sr. Curtis accepted Christ at an early age and was a former member of the Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Flint, MI. He attended Flint Community Schools and graduated from Flint Northwestern High School. Curtis was a resident of California for over 30 years and dearly loved living there. He loved cooking and enjoyed gatherings with family and friends. He was very organized and kept an immaculate home at all times.

Curtis leaves to cherish his memory (5) Sisters: Jean Newell of Brooklyn, NY, Sylvia Newell of Lansing, MI, Heather Newell of New Mexico, Mr. & Mrs. Veda (Stevie) Hill of Mt Morris, MI, and Foster sister Deborah Faye Hayman of Flint, MI. (2) Brothers: Curley Newell Jr. of Flint, MI and Foster brother Pastor Gillie Harris Jr. of Grand Blanc, MI. Foster Mother: Mrs. O’Delia Harris of Flint, MI. Special Aunt: Mrs. Vivian Steele of Flint, MI. Special Cousins: Ms. Kim Mosley of Inkster MI and Curtis Neal of Detroit MI.

Curtis leaves to treasure his memories: a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by Parents: Mary Rodgers & Curley Lee Newell Sr. (3) Sisters: Edith, Willa Mae, and Lucille Newell. Foster Father: Mr. Gillie Harris Sr. Special Uncle: Mr. Curtis Steele Sr. and Special Aunt: Mrs. Cora Steele.
