He enjoyed singing, gardening and traveling. David volunteered his time at church and with government entities. He was fan of NFL (football) and NBA (basketball).
David is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lillian Plaisted of Arcadia, CA; children, Janel and Anthony; mother, Elizabeth Jane Atkinson Plaisted of Winston Salem, NC; brothers James (with wife, Jane and children) Plaisted of Boonton, NJ; and Joseph (with wife, Diane and children) Plaisted of Winston Salem, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Franklin Plaisted.
A gathering of family and friends for sharing and viewing will be held at White & Day Mortuary in Manhattan Beach on Thursday and Friday, December 19 and 20, 2013 from 4 to 8pm, with a Rosary Service at 6pm. Mass will be held at St. Gerard Majella Church in Culver City on Saturday December 21, 2013 at 10:30am.
