A life long resident of California and a naval veteran, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2004. Born in Los Angeles, June 15, 1942, Dennis was 61. After many years of service as a marine dispatcher, Dennis recently celebrated his retirement with his family and his coworkers. Dennis will always be remembered for his love and dedication to his family as well as his sense of humor and passion for really corny jokes. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Virginia; his son Cary of Torrance; his daughter Dian of San Diego; his grandson Joshua and his granddaughters Alyssa and Brianna of Torrance; his mother Bette of Santa Ana and his brother Dale of Atlanta. Visitation will be available Thursday, May 13, 2004 from 4:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at White & Day Colonial Mortuary, 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held Friday, May 14, 2004 at 9:15 a.m. at the Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area #2. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association, or to the Comedy Cures Foundation (comedycures.org).
