Donna Rae Wood passed away at 6:30 a.m. on April 20, 2013 at the age of 67 after a valiant 5 year battle with ovarian cancer. Donna was predeceased by her father Charles Spencer Daniels. Donna is lovingly remembered by her mother Maxine Daniels, her son Kevin Eugene Wood, her family and all of her many friends. Donna was raised in Woodbury, Connecticut. She graduated from Woodbury High School in 1963 and went on to earn an AA Degree from Chandler College in Boston. In 1965 she moved to Torrance and began a successful career with Northrop Grumman Aerospace Corp. in Contracts and retired 35 years later as a Program Manager. Donna's passion in life was her son Kevin and his pursuit of music. A Celebration of Life will be held at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA on Tuesday, April 30th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the family plot in Woodbury, CT. In lieu of flowers, Donna requested donations be made to Ovarian Cancer Research, American Cancer Society, 836 Pine Ave., Long Beach, CA, 90613.
