Born September 26, 1962 in Hammond, Indiana, passed away May 4, 2009 in Redondo Beach. A 32 year resident of the Redondo Beach/Torrance area, he graduated from South Torrance High School in 1980, then went on to work as a machinist for 27 years. Doug will be remembered for his life long love of skateboarding and sharing his passion with his sons and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; sons, Robert and Jacob; mother, Shirley Mahlberg; sisters, Beth (Dave) Leas, Denise (Joel) Brock and Renee (Russell) Pierson; 13 nieces and nephews and many extended family members. Predeceased by his father, Wayne Meadows. Services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 2pm at Rice Mortuary in Torrance.
