Coury, Edward William a lifetime Redondo Beach resident passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2003 in Torrance. Born in Los Angeles on December 22, 1908 Ed was 94. He had owned and operated Ed Coury Cleaners for over 40 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Flora ''Bobbie'' Coury of Redondo Beach; daughter Gloria Coury of Riverside; son Ed (Margot) Coury of Rancho Palos Verdes; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; along with his sister Eileen Merrick of Simi Valley, brother Raymond Coury of Redondo Beach, and sister Mimi Bond of Maui, HI. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 2 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM at White and Day's Colonial Mortuary, 901 Torrance Blvd. in Redondo Beach. Funeral Services will be held on November 3, at 1:00 PM in the Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow with procession to Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.
