Eleanor Joan Harvey

Eleanor Joan Harvey was born on November 10, 1934 in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, daughter of William and Pauline Hnatchuk. She married Richard ("Dick") William Harvey on September 11, 1954 at St. Paul's United Church. Eleanor and Dick had four children: Darlene, Glen, Mark, and Dale. Eleanor and Dick moved to Los Angeles, California in 1957 with their daughter Darlene. Eleanor lived to see her children's children's children!

Eleanor is survived by her children: Darlene, Mark, and Dale; five grandchildren: Catreena ("Teena") Joyce, Richard Joyce, Ashley Harvey, Christopher Harvey, and Chelsey Harvey; seven great-grandchildren: Noah, Kyli, Alabama, Hudson, Kiara, Lyla, and Jayden; two great great-grandchildren: Luan Rael and Nyla Love; her son-in-law Kevin Anderson, and daughter-in-law Laurie Harvey.

She passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday October 27, 2021 at Torrance, California. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, her son Glen, and her parents.

Eleanor lived a full life and cherished being surrounded by her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 27, 2021 at 1:00PM at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions - Rice Center, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503.
