Elizabeth Felix (Schmidt) was born on January 7, 1924 in Rottweil, Germany. The second youngest of nine siblings, she was raised in the family restaurant and butchery business and spent many years in food service. She crossed the Atlantic in 1952 and ultimately settled down in Manhattan Beach, CA. She met and married the love of her life, Arthur Felix, who she lovingly called “Honey-Dear.” She worked as a cook and housekeeper for a Beverly Hills family before staying home to raise her two children.
Elizabeth was passionate about her heritage, her family and her friends. She was generous of heart and would share whatever she had with whoever was in need. She left a tremendous void in the lives and hearts of all of us. She will be greatly missed. Elizabeth is survived by Art, her husband of 61 years, her son Arthur (daughter-in-law Bohdana), her daughter Caroline (son-in-law Michael) and her grandchildren Hayley, Reid, Olivia and Arthur.
