Rev. Eric Schultz went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2013 in Torrance, CA. He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on December 26, 1925.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was assigned to the South West Pacific are of war.
Eric married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Rhodes and they were married for 67 years.
Several years after being discharged from the Marine Corps, he prepared for the ministry at Nyack College and joined the Berean Mission which was a member of The Interdenominational Foreign Missions Association. Prior to Foreign Service in Grenada, The West Indies, he pastored The Stockham Bible Church in Stockham, Nebraska.
Upon returning from Grenada, Eric received a call from his home church to become the interim pastor of The New Brunswick Bible Church in New Brunswick, NJ.
After moving to California, he served as the pastor of The Orange Missionary Church in Orance, CA and upon retirement, he spent the next ten years as Chaplain Volunteer at Harbor U.C.L.A. Medical Center in Torrance, California.
He is survived by his wife; four children, Bob, Jackie, Richard, and Janet; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty Reed of Monroe Township, NJ; and many other dear relatives. He was preceded in death by his son, David.
Eric and his wife attended The Torrance Alliance Church in Torrance, California.
A service will be held at Halverson, Stone & Myers Mortuary Chapel in Torrance, California and he will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
