Fred Lawrence Davidson

Fred Lawrence Davidson, a 54 year resident of Torrance, passed away on Tuesday March 13, 2012 in Torrance. Born in Murdo, SD on December 28, 1924, Fred was 87 when he died. Fred was a member of the Torrance Community Church of the Nazarene. He worked for Virco MFG for 32 years. Fred is survived by his wife, Gwen Davidson of Torrance, CA; son Lawrence (Tracy) Davidson of Albuquerque, NM; daughter Lila (Steve) Allen of Torrance, CA; sister Laura Hackworth of Sturgis, SD; brother Lyle Davidson of IL; sisters-in-law Betty Lou and Lucy Davidson; brother-in-law Kent Walker; nieces and nephews, Helen, Don, John, Mary Lou, Carol Sue, Ronald, Ione, Denise, Kenny, Lavonne, Roy, Suzanne, Elise, Chuck, Brenda, Burton, Danny, Kent, Cora Jean, Larry, Terry, Sandy, Jeff, Steve, Nikki, Dawn, Toni, Scott, Debbie Hanson, Bonnie Tallmon, Georgia Moos, Teresa Littleton, Shirley, Calvin and Melvin; grandchildren, Jeff Davidson, Chris (Maria) Allen, Sonja (Joshua) Wicker, Brian (Michelle) Davidson, Tiffanie Massengale, Trisha (Joel) Ackley, Stephanie (Nick) Fernando, Kevin (Stephanie) Davidson; great grandchildren: Shelbylyn, Helayna, Denver, Andrew, Fiona, Caleb, Luke, Jacob, Emily, Aaron, Layla, Harmony, Ally, Jacob, Adam, Mason, Owen, Gunner, Ripley. He was preceded in death by parents Emroy and Opal Davidson; brothers Everett (Maybell) Davidson, Evlin, (Liz) Davidson, Claude, Charles; sisters Bonnia (Allen) Miller, Cora Walker, Bertha (Steve) Jarabek. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Thursday, March 22 at 9am. There will be a graveside service held at Green Hills Memorial in Rancho Palos Verdes at 1pm. A memorial service will be held at Torrance Community Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, March 24 at 1pm.
