Fred was a devoted and beloved educator who served Los Angeles County and the Redondo Beach Unified School District for over 40 years as a teacher, administrator, and school principal. He loved the ocean and grew up surfing throughout the South Bay, and later in life became an avid (some might say obsessive) golfer.
He is survived by his partner, Barbara Demarest; his daughter, Megan Koch; his son, Kevin Marsee; and his five grandchildren. He was sadly preceded in death by his son, Darren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lighthouse Memorials and Receptions, Rice Center, in Torrance on March 1 at 11:00 AM.
